How did I not notice this before!  Thanks for checking us out!

Thanks for the feed back! I love the idea of permanent upgrades and incentives for completing quests. I did think about doing a point system but I don't have time :/

I might expand further with future updates.

Heh.  I might revisit the controls and try to make the screen less busy and overwhelming.

Fair enough.  Overall great job!

This feels like a Baba Is You spiritual successor. I think having a double switch on overlapping controls as a little frustrating though.  But for the most part, solid concept and fun puzzle.

Fun and challenging.  Great music!

Ah I see. Not sure if it quite worked because if the player is attempting to connect to the atom but ends up destroying a connection by accident, it isn't as satisfying.  Whereas if you had a antiparticle or "delete atom" it would be clearer and more consistent in terms of what to expect in each collision.

Cool idea.  Kinda reminds me of that other game that slows down time when the player is standing still. If these two mechanics came together you'd have a cool puzzle shooter.

The idea of human Katamari is funny enough but this was morbidly comical.  Great job on a simple concept.

I genuinely busted out laughing when I shot the balloon right off the bat on the first go.  That's a great way to teach that mechanic.  It's a little slow to get going but I can definitely see myself playing more of this with more polish.

Great job! Love the art and humorous sound design.  It was fun discovering the implications of having and not having the blobs.  Should definitely polish it up and ship it out.

I like the concept.  I agree with everyone that I'm not really sure what the benefit is to detaching yourself from the life bar other than a pure challenge.  Other than that, I like the cheeky aesthetics and the sound design.

I enjoyed the game! However, the mechanic for destroying segments wasn't very clear.  What if you had anti-particles that floated around as well to provide both an explicit means to reset your molecule but to also add to the challenge of dodging unwanted atoms.

Oh no doubt.  It is very rough around the edges as I was rushing to get the core mechanics of a the battle formation and the rotating cast that I didn't have time to add polish.  I think a good fix would be if we paused the game when looking at the quests.  Another possible solution would be to let the heroes attack within a radius around themselves as opposed to in a straight all the time.  But I didn't have time to incorporate that since I would have to worry about target priorities and what not.

Some small quality of life changes for newcomers.  Please download the new zip and delete all old previous files (your save file should be fine).

Wayfaring Strangers is a semi-open world roguelite with a character based narrative. As one of the many estranged citizens in the Scarred World, you explore trying to encounter strange and colorful characters who are trying to get by in a harsh war torn land.  Collect items, build your arsenal, help the broken people of land, rebuild your Homestead, and find the meaning of "home".

THE SETTING
The Scarred World is a land recovering from countless and meaningless wars.  And yet, that which wrought destruction upon the world is also the catalyst of it's creation.  Mountains rose and oceans flooded valleys.  The way "home" is even harder than ever.  Scattered about the world are portals which can take you anywhere....but you don't have much of a choice where.  Step inside and dare to travel this unrelenting world.

THE GAMEPLAY
Wayfaring Strangers takes a page out of item based collection and progression like Terraria.  Combat is simple and straight-forward but with many different item builds to change up your playstyle.  Wannna hit hard and fast?  Find items with attack speed and crit chance. Wanna kite your enemies?  Get some long range weapons and apply poison.  Wanna be sneaky? Get items that give bonuses when hiding in grass.

Under certain conditions, death means starting over at your home and losing some items.  But if you are not careful, death is permanent and you will not only lose your items, but everything else!  Interact with many characters, help them on their quest to find "home" and build up your own Homestead to become a beacon of hope in the Scarred World.

This is my first solo project and there is a lot more work to be done.  I would love everyone's help and feedback to help refine the game and take it in a cohesive and engaging direction.
