Program is unable to find video info of certain IDs

I've got multiple titles purchased from aventertainments.com. In naming the titles, I used the catalog ID as shown on the website; however, the program does not recognize these IDs. It's choosing the correct ID, but it says it can't find any information for those IDs. This is particularly odd considering if one does a web search for say LAFBD-08, you get a lot of results filled with info. I'm not sure what database you are using but it completely misses uncensored Blu-Ray releases.

I'm running version 1.4.1 on Windows and running the program with the usual /d switch. Below is the program output.

2021/05/16 20:25:36 [INFO] Could not find JAV information using video ID 'LAFBD-08':

Hey Hi-FiMan,

Thanks for the kind message. I had a look at your video ID and I’m not even sure if any online database has valid entries for your title. I can see a lot of hits for streaming/downloading video clips, but non of the databases (at least I’m aware of) seem to list the title as an valid entry.

Unfortunately due to the virtually unlimited amounts of JAV on the Internet, some title entries may not yet exist. This is especially true for less mainstream JAV which covers uncensored titles and titles from smaller studios/websites. In order to maintain consistency across as many entries as possible, R18/DMM is currently used as a common source of truth. Adding secondary sources could be used as a fall-back mechanism, however many are unreliable and incomplete. But I would agree any information is still better than nothing though! (^_^);

Adding an emergency fall-back is something I’m genuinely interested in doing, but since my time is limited I need to prioritize work based on the features more users request. But since I couldn’t even find a proper entry for your title, I have a feeling there may be no realistic fallback for this (yet anyway).

I don't know if this source could be added but JavDB has the information on these titles (and in Japanese for my other request). https://javdb.com/v/8XDQO

There's also info on the site that sells it. You can also change the language as well.

Hey again,

Thanks for the kind information. I totally didn't know about javdb.com! It might actually be a good idea to do a complete DB roundup to determin which one is the most complete fallback. I'm aware of the more popular ones, such as Javbus, Javlibrary, etc. Maybe some users have some experience as to which ones are more reliable and complete?
