Hi!

I played this game to the end, despite dying many times :) I really liked the vibe of it! Here are some notes I made as I was playing, hopefully it will be useful to you:

  • As mentioned, overall I really liked the vibe and the colour scheme - it reminded me of a 3D version of the old purple and blue DOS games you used to get. The Paper/2D aesthetic was great too!
  • It also kinda made me feel like I was in the movie Labyrinth :D
  • The controls felt nice and I liked the sensitivity of the mouse, but getting stuck on walls was annoying
  • For talking to Crescent, I think left-clicking would work better instead of Enter
  • Some more simple audio would have been nice, maybe a subtle background audio effect too
  • The text between levels was interesting, but scrolls a bit fast to read on some levels
  • The traps where you fall through the floor felt a little unfair - maybe you could make their texture *slightly* different so people who are paying attention will be able to avoid them? Or have a little sound play before you fall through, so you have a second to react and jump free of the floor?
  • The moving blocks on level 7 - Sometimes I would slide off it when it moved even though I was standing on it. I found out it occurs when you walk onto the block instead of jumping onto it

Hey BlackVoid,

Thanks so much for taking the time to write this feedback, a lot of the things you pointed out are in fact true.

I do have to say that one thing in particular I'll have to look into more, would be those traps. Didn't realize, but should had known. They're hard to memorize, so one idea would be the surface of the tile disappears each time you fall in.

I'll be coming back to this game to improve the quality, when I get the chance. Originally was going to slowly implement sounds to the game, but will consider those too.

Glad to see you caught on some of those influences, really makes me happy!
