I've tried using different characters, and different classes, however, the game only shows symbols on the screen. For example, the character is a walking '@' symbol, a small bat is the letter 'b'...

I've deleted the game and reinstalled it, and purchased it through itch.io. Does anybody have a fix?

I also tried taking a print screen, but it only saves the main menu and not the game.
