Enemy ships surrender bug

When enemy ships ask me to take some gold to let them go away, i always refused and demanded surrender and they would lower their sails and stay still while i could just navigate to and board them. But now enemy  ships  will try to escape and will not low their sails after i demand their surrender. Even if i am the first to ask for surrender and they accept, they will try to flee anyway.

Ah, yes.  I think a recent Maelstrom change might have caused that.  None of the ships would ever try to avoid an enemy from getting too close, which would allow them to board more easily, so I changed that within the engine itself, even when they are commanded to "DRIFT" and not move.  But I probably need to allow an exception for when ships have been set to DRIFT,  but because they have surrendered.  I will look at fixing for that exception.

Yes, that was the problem.  I've fixed it and will probably update both the Maelstrom and the affected mods sometime this weekend.

Fix is part of the recent Maelstrom update today

Thanks for the update! But it seems after the update, the game is now crashing to desktop at the start menu. It pops a windows saiyng error:740 if I choose to start using config.exe . I'm on ERAS 2 64x. Tried a fresh install but the same issue persists.
