After several months of play and after the new versions uploaded through itch, the game after showing (or not) for a split of a second the main menu stop working. I reloaded several times the latest or previous versions to no avail. Please help me return to the best pirate game ever. Thanks in advance. (I tried both 32 bit and 64 bit versions with the same response)

The video I was supplied for a new intro, apparently requires DirectShow filters that are not always available.  If you install the K-Lite_Codec_Pack_1570_Full supplied with Maelstrom, it should work.  I will try to find a way to revert so that is not a requirement.

I installed the latest version of the Codec. That didnt help. Thanks for the fast answer.
