Hello, O great developer. it's me again, posting what is probably another dumb question

But please stick with me when I ask this:

So I had been playing the game on Mac for a while now, with around 25h of gameplay. Really, really liked it, wish I could go on forever. Recently I just a new laptop, which runs on Windows, and I'd like to know if I can transfer my old progress on Mac onto my new Windows laptop. Now, I am aware that MacOS and Windows 10 both have different versions of the game, and they probably don't sync at all; but is there any hope left for me?

Thank you!

;-; (pls say there is a way)

You can find the saves on mac in the \Game.app\Contents\Resources\app.nw\save  folder, Try to copy the entire content, including the global and config file, into the www/save folder of the windows version.
I'm not 100% certain, but I think the saves between mac and windows are compatible.

I've been trying to do as you said for hours now, but it doesn't seem to be working. I'll keep on trying though.

Also, for the windows version, it seems like I have to extract the game.exe file every time i want to play the game, and I can't run it whenever pull it out to my desktop or anywhere else other than the original zip it was downloaded in. Is there anyway to fix this?

*Whenever I have the game.exe on my desktop/etc and click on it, it gives me an error message that goes

"The code execution cannot proceed because nw_elf.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem"; when the file nw_elf.dll was always present in the folder

i also tried deleting and reinstalling the file many times as what it says, but that doesn't help either

Did you copy the entire content of the save folder? Including the global file?
Maybe Mac and Windows don't work together after all....

You have to extract everything from the .zip file.

Yes I did copy everything , including global and config files. But wait, extract? I thought you just copy all the files on save and paste them to the new www.save on windows version

When you download the game, it's inside of a .zip file. You have to extract everything from there, before you use the game.exe to start the game.

Also, I did try to override a save slot I had on my Mac version, and it did override. For example, I had a safe file on slot 2 on Mac version, and on my Windows version I saved the new game on the 2nd slot too; when I did this, my save file slot 2 in wwwsave on Windows replaced the old 2nd slot save file from Mac. So does this means that my Windows version sees the Mac safe files as legit and compatible?

I'm not very knowledgeable on computers and systems and coding, but this is just my speculation. My Windows version is still completely empty aside from the new save slot 2 trial though.

Extract the game using WinRAR or 7-zip and if u have old saves, open the www folder of old version and copy the savegames file and the global file then paste it in new version of game inside the www folder

I did exactly what you said, but doesn't work unfortunately

It work for me, cuz my previous savegames are on windows.

Well rip, mine was originally Mac's
