Chibi wolfenstein without the value?

So why would I play this over wolfenstein which already exists? I'm sorry but you probably took a base level engine and kind of tweaked it. The sprites are overly large, the overall feel is that taken directly out of a made for play engine, all thats been added is "chibi" sprites. This really doesnt feel exceptional or necessary in any way. Thats my problem. Nothing feels better than what has already been done.
To compare: Iron main (ion maiden) Is an evolution of Duke Nukem but similiar style. This is more like a chibi wolfenstein but you've not evolved or done anything. Instead you just pallet swapped and tweaked the sprits and levels. Yeah if the level design was exceptional that would change things but what you've displayed is that you are capable of pallet swapping, not environmental design not in fact change things, you've shown that you in fact understand the basic components of the game engine design itself to make it functional.
There's a lot to learn and I want to improve myself and others but that's the problem here, this is a basic one to one. You've shown you can turn something into something else. Make it unique and do something more than. This is basically "chibi wolfenstein" Without any value.

Thank you for the comment. It's like a proper review, but without the value.

Thanks man. Its like a game except entirely ripped off and lacking value. Keep at it maybe you'll earn your value.

Also I see you popped this up on the twitter feed. I can sense your insecurity. Now I understand that your game is effectively "Wolfenstein but with chibis" Now that's cool and all but your game is not good enough to warrant phil fish levels of anger. I mean to be fair you're not even phil fish. Even though he's a huge dingle berry, he at least made a pretty good game. You on the other hand, have reskinned wolfenstein with really bad pixel art. I'm sorry if you cant handle the fact that I called out your game. Perhaps in the future you can make something that's really fucking dope. I hope you dont try to ride that civvie11 train like so many others and decide to have your own unique vision, take care my friend. I love you.

Dude! Wolfenstein's textures, sounds and level design is terrible in modern standards. I'd love to play it, but I can't force myself to do it because of how bad it aged.

This game here is quite decent. A bit too slow for my taste but very atmospheric and I like the pixel-art textures. It always amazed me how clean things can look with a 32x32 texture size and yet how much detail you can put into it for a cleanly understandable environment.

Thanks man! I'm glad you enjoyed my little demo!

To be fair, that passive aggressive comment was not very mature of me, and I'm sorry that it was my go-to response. OP is absolutely entitled to their opinion. Well, except for the part about "taking a base level engine and kind of tweaking it". The game is made in Unity and all of the coding is custom-made by yours truly, with the exception of the pathfinding algorithm, which is made by Aron Granberg.

Bottom line is, I'm going to try my best and keep a professional attitude in the future. 馃槉

I don't know why you're so upset over this game. He gave you a line that he made to spoof your comment and you went (as you put it) full "Phil Fish levels of anger"

Some folks like to go around insulting other people's work. These people are everywhere, and best ignored. They make themselves feel superior by tearing other people down. And then has the balls to say, "I can sense your insecurity." When reading his post, it's clear that AssaultOnGQ is the insecure one. Never anything positive to say.
