Android installation help

Okay so i decided to get the game on android and i downloaded the apk file. I was able to install the apk file and then it wants to install the game through that file. It installs up until like 80% and then stops saying app not installed. I turn off background programs and I have  plenty of space. Also this is me upgrading to the new version after uninstalling the previous version, so it has worked before. Just curious on how to troubleshoot or if anybody had similar problems. Not sure if it is a problem with game or my phone so i dont want to bother by putting it in bug reports. Also because i didnt see it happen to anybody else.

I was thinking of getting it on my computer and then downloading it to my phone by transferring the files.

Don't even try moving files, android and pc versions are built completely different. I faced the same issue, usually just cleaning some memory space helps. Little more than 5 gb does it for me. I mean  it's the exact threshold, I've been testing a bit, but it might be different for you.

oh what i was thinking was dowloading the android version to the the pc and then move them manually from the pc to the android. I can see if I might neeed more space because i have about 5 gb available on phone, but much more on sd card.

If you downloaded from itch, sometimes the webpage does not download the right file for some reason. It should download an .apk but for some reason it downloads a .bin file.

Try enabling "desktop version" on mobile or download from PC. Sorry for the trouble.
