I might be biased but I think we can all agree that Blood Mage is the best class, most fun, and easiest to make OP, the second being Berserker but it’s not as fun.

Anyway, for players who chose those other classes what do you think? How are the abilities and is it worth playing?

What’s the best out of the 3 in terms of how much fun it is or how good the skills are?

To help Lord Rutash, which class out of the 3 is the worst and needs improvement.

Minor suggestion, each class should have its own temple. Wasting precious level-up points on Learn (Insert Weapon here) for classes that should have them is questionable design.

Developer

As they are now, blood  magus is just about perfect, berserker & rogue are ok, and adventurer is functional but boring.

Next patch adventurer is gonna change to a new class called "leader", with a whole different set of skills.

Unfortunately Temple is tied to the Actor IDs and cannot be tied to classes without the whole script getting rewritten, so that isn't happening anytime soon.

Good to know Adventurer will get an overhaul.

Shame about the Temple, maybe some other time.

Is removing the learn (insert weapon/armor) skill an option?Unless the skill gives access weapons way better than the default, I don’t see the point.

Example being, are axes or spears that much better than claymores? Is it worth multiple level ups?

Now that you’re here, I’m also wondering about your thoughts on the current perks. I did a lot balancing experiments and can give a detailed doc on findings if you want. But what do you think first, any bad or op perks you plan to change one day?

Developer

I'm more or less satisfied with the perks. Some could use lengthier descriptions, but that's about it. The one change I'd like to make is separate foods into meat or not, and have the testosterone and estrogen perks respectively block one of the two.

Maybe expand temple to block off some abilities that only x class can get, also agree magus is in perfect position, rogue and berserker have their own indenities but their mecheics are and skills could do with some work, also on rogue maybe some more unquie style from Hana since shes priestess/rogue.

Agree on changing adventurer to leader, would make sense as commanding type focus.

the adventurer, now called the leader, unfortunately still remains the weakest class. The problem is that it is a class that lacks any real vision, it depended on me I would set it as if it were a bard of dnd, a bit of a warrior, a bit of a wizard and a bit of a rogoue, without however excelling in anything

Back in the older version of the game Berserker and Blood  Magus dominates through the whole gameplay with ease with their high damage burst skills, but right now I noticed in this new version, Blood Magus beats the berserker class into 2nd place with the limited skills for the berserker and with more opportunities with the blood magus, as for Rogue and Leader they are for players who expects to adapt and strategies to the new adjustment without relying on high burst damage along with the party members.

well rogue and blood magus are alright for starting classes the other 2 are not that good but kind of wished that classes could ascend for the protagonist

Well you are right about that, Blood Magus is a OP start of your run but for Rogue it needs planning and tactics with the knowledge you obtained after you played many runs and know the layout of the gameplay like for example in TOB it is your starting for Rogues while it will be quite a difficult start from scratch, They must obtained fables at the start in the docs in order to overcome its disadvantages giving you a boost whilst giving you a negative effect at the same time.

So in short

Blood Magus are OP in the start if you build and save enough equipment for upgrades as they can simply Cast Chaos throughout the gameplay with ease

While the Rogue on the other hand they tend to plan and strategize on what to do next and create a suitable skilltree for them, High risk comes with High rewards, There are some fables grant tremendous advantage while disabling some skills or some restrictions, it is up to them what kind of gameplay they want to play in their run, when they get used to their current run they will get much stronger and will likely rivals the Blood Magus eventually.

(1 edit)

but i kind of wished the karma blast deals whatever is the highest for both and also for that healing karma technique i forgot its name
