Can't save from public download + bug

Hi, idk if this is just a problem on my end but I downloaded the public  build and can't create a save file from it. It seems to have downloaded without a save folder and when i open the options menu and attempt to exit out of it, the whole game freezes and displays an error screen on it that shows a directory for a "save" folder with a thing called "config.rpgsave" that both dont show up in the public download.

As for a bug report, when i open the Item menu and go to armor and attempt to equip armor, it plays an error sound effect (that also plays when i try and save through the menu) and i cant equip anything this way. I know i can equip it through the Equip menu but just here to make yall aware. Thanks and and hope to have some help on this :)

Do you play on Windows PC?

Did you try to bring old saves?  The game you can download here doesn't include a save folder. The saves from before 0.10 don't work in this phase (0.10, 0.11, 0.12). When you start a new game and then save from the pause menu it will create the save folder.

I don't have any older saves as this was my first time downloading it. And as for saving from the pause menu; when I started the game, I went through the story and naming and I immediately went the the save option in the menu and it gives me the choice of which number file id want to save it from, but when I click any number save file an "error" sound effect plays and it doesn't do anything.

That's strange, I've never had that happen to me or no one has reported something like that to me. I wonder if it's your PC's firewalls. Also google might know something. The engine is "RPG Maker MV".

I had this same problem myself, and I tried deleting the global save file, in case it was using data from an old version.
It worked, but it also made the pre-set save files unusable.
It was no big issue for me, as I have a strange habit of dropping games after a while and starting over from the beginning, but I'm sure I'm in the minority.
