Hi
Me and my little kid 9 had a go at this whilst we were ill. Was very cool fun lasted about 90 minutes using small budding town level (not including breaks).
We roughed everything then drew it back in nice towards end . We include the initial region lines incase we revisit .
We had fun and will certainly revisit this game and construct a large city over Christmas holidays. My kid even suggested doing 3 or 4 settlements and stitching them together with interlude terrain to make a country or large territory.
Unfortunately I can only upload the map and not the handwritten histories and detail as only 1 image allowed , which is a shame as the game is way more than just a map at the end ... its the history and change that makes the game more deep and a fantastic learning tool.
Bravo
So, I've had the 0.8 version of this for awhile, but never got around to building anything until now.
Over the holidays, I came up with this, the twin cities of Crescents and Seaview. Pirate towns formed after the colonization of the Lost Coast, and forcing the natives out of the deep forests and ridges along the coast.
Power in the region is split among five competing factions:
The Red Sails control the harbor district (wave symbol), while the Bacchites (grapes) keep the towns bars supplied with alcohol, and provide one of the few large legal businesses in the area. The Giant-Killers (crossed axes) run the local sawmill and the biggest district in Seaview and seek to exploit the local resources. After their logging caused the death of a dryad grove, the Outlanders (bare tree with roots) were formed from the locals who refused to leave the deep woods, to protect the magic groves that still stood. Lastly the Reformists (halo and wings), believe religious salvation can only come from ending the town's reputation for violence and forcing a new balance between man and nature.
First off, thank you for creating this, this was my third map in a row, the fist one I made a city of monogod Gnomes fleeign from an Orcish Appocalipse.
The second one I made map of a race of Gargoyles, descendants of Angels that were cursed with stone bodies and death magic.
And this last one, Dwarf civ with strong use of Air Magic and famous for their temples and Opera houses.
Just wanted to share the map I've made, and also am reporting on World Anvil, a worldbuilding site.
