What the fk is this shit? I've just paid for the game and it sends me to a patrion sign up page demanding $10 a month? What are you fkin high? I wouldn't pay that for anything let alone a game I've just this second paid money for. If I can't download the game without signing up to a monthly sub then give me my money back now you scamming bastard.

Hi Dominic.

I'm terribly sorry that you feel this way. I will gladly refund the $1.00 you paid.

The game is free, and there was no need to pay for it. The android version is for Patrons, not as a subscription but to help fund the ongoing development being done by a solo indie developer from South Africa creating the game from my savings. I'll escalate the issue to itch.io and get your money returned to you asap.

I have emailed Itch Support to action your refund for you. (You are CC'd in the email)

Hi again Dominic. Just wanted to let you know that I received confirmation that the refund has been actioned by the itch support team.

You should see your $1.00 returned to your account in a few days.

I hope you have a fantastic weekend! Stay safe, have fun and make smart choices. <3

Oh my goodness, I thought this had to be a joke, but no. Someone actually crossed all possible boundaries, treated a single developer working on a free game like dirt and made themselves look not like a clown, but a whole circus...over a dollar. The dev treated you with more kindness than I believe you'll ever deserve. Even if the dollar meant a lot to you, I'm sure a bit of humanity and compassion wouldn't have killed you, because you'd lose nothing asking for a refund of a dollar nicely. I'd ask you to apologize, but after all the vile things that came out of your mouth, maybe your silence is for the best.

And to the dev- please hang in there. While there are individuals like this one, there's a lot of people supporting and enjoying your project. They greatly outshine the bitter minority of- no, I don't think I know of a word that would be fit to describe whatever this was in any of the languages I speak. I hope you have a wonderful day!

I could not have summed that up better.
