Not there? Mission accomplished anyway...

Hi all,

escort and passengers missions can be successfully concluded even if your ship is not moored at target location.

Example: got a passenger/escort to say, La Vega.  Moor at Santo Domingo and walk to La Vega. Passenger is in the tavern/escorted captain waits in the harbour. Makes life too easy.

Rgds,

Oldtimer

The condition in the scripts is simply to enter the "location" of the destination; there is no instruction to the player that the ship has to be in port, so I think entering on foot should still qualify as completion of the mission since there is no specification noted in any log...we will assume the passenger accompanied you in your trek through the jungle.

Mr. Jeffrey,

re passengers it`s a plausible rationalization. But escorted captains, do they carry their ships overland?

THX for your attn.,

Ah, the ship escort missions...I had forgotten about those in my reply.  You make a good point.  I suppose we should add a check for ship in port for those, before considering them complete.

Mr. Jeffrey,

that would be very good.

THX for your attn.,

Hi all,

one more thing, escort missions should not be available unless player ship is moored where the tavern is.
