you gotta pause the game and navigate to your weapon then press R1 to ransform it, no on the fly transform unfortunately. hopefully it will be added, the game is open source.
I can't get it to work for some reason. I am playing 1.04 with a controller and using the threaded cane. I tried both doing it when I pause the game and when selecting the weapon in the satchel, but it doesn't do anything.
