You know.. I've been far on the game already and I would certainly won't like to go back.. so I'm gonna ask, on the Prologue of the game, when Killigan's mother is about to come home.. We get three choices right? A vase, A Magic Pen that has no juice and a basket.. so I was curious, if I have chosen the Pen.. would it make a huge difference? 

And also, should I have kept Marchanide Langou.. the one Cabotte gives after defeating his lizard friend? Kinda feels like both items are really important.

Don't worry, the choice of item during that segment doesn't affect anything significant later on. The langou's not particularly important either, at most having it only alter a few lines of dialogue when Cabotte is met again.

Oh thank you.. somehow it was really drowning me, the thought of missing out something haunts me.
