Cool and very atmospheric, I really like the sound and art.
The naturalistic elements are amazing, the fact that the moon's gravity pulls the island is a really apt thematic touch.
been moving around for a few minutes and didn't find the lava island, perhaps a form of guidance can be implemented in theme , like puffs  of  ash coming from it's direction, or a flock birds showing the way.

This game made me think of Pocahontas for the MegaDrive / Genesis, I think its got a similar vibe.
