the game goes by a de facto map of the world: this means that who owns what is based on what government controls what land, this is due to every country having their own de jure map of the world (who legally owns what land). while i personally think the republic of china is it's own country, making it de facto has made me add countries i do not support such as northern cyprus, donbass and luhansk
