Minigames on Mobile

I'm not really sure if anyone else has this problem, but it's big enough for me to make this.

The minigames on mobile are nothing short of awful. The weightlifting and the running minigames both suffer from this weird input lag that makes it pretty much impossible to win and the tennis one goes from easy to why-bother-trying as soon as you get a single point.

The tapping both sides method works in concept but as soon as you actually try it out you can get halfway through before your thumbs start to ache and it doesn't even register when/if you're tapping or not.

The rest of the game is nothing short of fantastic.

Hi, we are sorry to know you are having problems, could you please tell us what device you are playing on?

And on the other hand, we appreciate your comment.

I'm having the same problems.  Android v12, UI v4.1, Samsung S21 5G

Hi, we are sorry for the inconvenience, and we would like to ask you:

Does that happen during the training mini-games or only in the sports festival itself?

Do you use your phone in 120hz mode?

This was in the prologue.  How would I find out if it is in 120 Hz mode?

I think this video might help you to see that option.

Awesome, thanks!

Same for me, galaxy j7(2018), happend to me in both, sports festival and prologue. The running task in the prologue took me 2 min to finish because of how slow the catgirl ran (including myself, barely moved).

For the sports festival, same at the start, got easier when training more though. The ping pong task was also at the start almost impossible because of how fast the ball was.

But the rest of the game is fantastic !

We have been checking and it seems that we do not compensate correctly for the touchscreen lag. For the next update, we will rebalance these mini-games to fix these problems.

Although Maki moving slowly is a bit strange, we will investigate further. What version of Android do you use?

I play strictly on Android.

I'm hoping that maybe it's just something on my end, because the rest of the game looks and feels very polished. I understand if you would have trouble implementing minigames into mobile as it never seems to be the easiest of transitions, but it's downright unplayable.

Again, the rest of the game is great. Love the art, think the story is cool and I enjoy the characters. Maybe just take a look at the mobile version and see if y'all have the same issues with the minigames?

Sorry for the late reply and thank you for your kind words.

We are checking the problem and would like to ask you:

Does it happen during the training mini-games or only during the actual sports festival?

Does your phone have a 90hz or 120hz screen?

It happens on both for me. The trial minigames are more manageable, but the sports festival ones are next level bad. And I'm working with a 90hz screen.

Thank you for being on top of this, by the way. It's refreshing to see this amount of care for quality being put into a game like this. Big ups. 馃憤

Thank you for your patience.

Did this get fixed?

Haven't played for a while, but the minigames put an end to the gameplay on mobile as it was impossible to clear them.

The tennis mini-game has been fixed it seems. Less bounces and as such less speed build up.

But the Maki running has been chronologically been: impossible, extra hard <{idk which came before which}> time consuming but easy if you tap in a somewhat slow rhythm, impossible, and now again extra hard.

Idk when i played the sports festival but it worked well for me. Weightlifting worked how it was supposed to. The running was hard but gradually easier as it was programmed to be. Pong/tennis caught me off guard how hard the first training session is, but it also became gradually easier. I think i wanted to bite off my fingers during and after the running sports event. Which worked but was hard.

I played yesterday and i am going to play again today.

Since i have to re-play to get to the new stuff cus i can't use the save file they posted for download.

That's how i know for the initial Maki mini-games, and today i'll know for the sports festival.

Fyi the first Maki mini-game event isn't necessary at all since you get the scene replay of that scene even if you don't go through it or win and unlock it in the gallery if you initiate it at the fountain.

I'm going through all the mini-games to see what state they're in

(1 edit)

First Maki pong: normal difficulty / First Maki running: extra hard

Sports fest training: Luna weights: easy , Maki run: Day1 impossible-Days2&3: easy , Angie pong: hard-easy-easy that ramps up to hard (can be cleared before the first bounce if cheesed)

Sports fest: EASY
