Hi! I apologize  if this is not the correct avenue to take to provide feedback or list bugs I've run into. I'm not very familiar with itch and how these pages work, but I care enough about this game to take the leap.

Firstly, bugs or other errors:

  1. I can't seem to download this game through the itch app for whatever reason. Not sure if that's something on the dev's end or the app itself. I downloaded it straight from the download page in-browser without a hitch, so it's no inconvenience to me, but might be for other people.
  2. When I tried to stop at a floor on the elevator, I stopped too early and was unable to start the elevator again so that I could get through the doors, basically hardlocking myself out of the game.

Second, personal feedback:

  • Let me be clear: I ADORE the premise of this game. Psychological horror is the only horror I can stand because of how intriguing it is. I can tell this game goes about it well, or at least in a way I like. However, having to sit through what felt like 15 minutes of dialogue just to hardlock myself out of completing my very first run discouraged me from wanting to try again. I don't know when the right time to stop the elevator is in order to actually be able to make it out the door, and not being able to see both the control panel and the doors doesn't help.
  • I am okay with long expositions. However, being stuck in a small space with no stimulation while listening to what felt like 15 minutes of a speech was grating- ESPECIALLY when I could only read it, as someone who doesn't speak Swedish (though I know voice acting can be a lot of work to do or acquire, so definitely not something I can/will get pissy about). I had nothing to do but move around a little to see how bad my screen tearing was (which was pretty bad). My friends I was showing the game to in a voice chat were similarly at a loss and losing interest when all they could do was read text.

I love the premise, I love the story I got to experience, and I love thinking of all the things I can experience when I replay. There are so many routes to run down and I look forward to getting to do just that! I'd just like to be able to progress past the elevator doors to do so, and know whether there's a way to skip the exposition for my replays (such as nodding when the elevator person asks if I know what's going on- I don't want to alter the ending I'd get by doing so).

Thank you for your hard work and willingness to support an amazing and essential cause. ❤

Hi Sebastian!

First of all, thank you for your kind words. This is our first game that we've made with the intention of selling it, and we for sure made some choices with the writing and the code that we won't make next time. The bug you've experienced with stopping the elevator and then being stuck is one we'll be trying to fix, we've tried once before but there's obviously something left that we need to get to work on. And with the game not launching in the itch app, i had no idea about that and i'll try to have that fixed as soon as possible! One thing we don't regret is making the game in swedish. Yes it is in part because we'd have to pay voice actors or do it with a swedish accent, but it's also part of the ambience we wanted to create. The game takes place in sweden, and any other language spoken would not make sense.

If you do decide to play through it again, I will give you a few tips. The elevator stops by itself at the different floors so you just have to wait for it to do so! Also  if you want to skip her telling you where you are etc, once she asks you to stop the elevator and starts talking, if you start the elevator again she will not like that and will basically tell you "whatever, deal with it yourself" and the story will sort of skip ahead. Also, once you play one ending you will be asked if you want to play another ending and it will start again at that ending. Either way we thank you for your feedback and will try to fix as many of the problems as possible when we have the time :)
