Spectrum - A Story About Colours

This is a project that I've wanted to work on for a long while and have attempted many times in the past but ran into life/experience roadblocks. It's going to be a narrative focused game with light RPG elements and will be a story about colours. I've established a good idea of what I want the game to look like and I'm excited to get to work on it.

I'm a composer with experience of audio programming and I have a pretty decent knowledge of C# but I'm by no means a programmer.

My hope is to one day bring the game to Kickstarter to help with funding development but for now I wanted to get the framework down. I welcome any and all feedback regarding the game and what makes a successful Kickstarter.

Anyway, without further ado... First footage:

I have a lot of progress to go, but I'm excited for what I have planned.

Thanks for reading!

An update on what I've been doing! I've been working on a dialogue system. I am by no means a programmer but I have a good grasp of C# so thought I could do so and I'm sure with time I would be able to pull it off.

Unfortunately I don't have time to invest in making a dialogue system from scratch so I have leaned on FC's Dialogue System for GMS2 which you can find here:

I've spent the past week or so re-jigging this to work how I want it and most of the setup is pretty much there which is great! Along with that, I've been working on a few assets and implemented some music which is super exciting. Here's where we are at now!

I cannot state enough how much I am a composer and sound designer and not an artist or programmer. I'm learning a lot day by day and I know with time, I will get there!.

Thanks for reading!

It's always cool to see stuff made from someone outside of programming.

I'm lookin forward to see what the colors gon do!
