Sorry to bring up this subject once again (like, 2 years later), but here on Itchio, it's possible to post android platform games just fine with the same cost/price as before (matching that of the Playstore so long ago)

Google won't be able to complain or bore you with anything, since this is a different platform and in no way related to them

And I assume the only thing to do is to update the very same game format which was once updated back on Playstore itself (maybe even equalise it to the Steam format, removing the censoring that is)

Developer

I wish it was worth it, but sadly I don't think it is. I would need to keep it updated (newer Android versions could break the game), provide support to people (many have no clue how to install an Android game) etc. I spoke with many other dev who tried to do this, and every single one said that it's not worth doing it :(

Just to encourage you, I have seen single developers taking on that path for profit or fun (or both XD)

As for "how to install", you can write a guide to spare you any possible/future problem

And regarding updating towards androids versions... Yeah, that's the one thing I can't really advise about.

Ultimetely I'm just a Android player, not a developer and I might be oblivious to the hardship one actually has to face

It's just that... Many ended up sad with this game vanishing from Playstore, and from no fault of yours at all (yes, I'm well aware of the censorship wave -.-) So how would they react with this game returning to Android Platform?

"That's the question"

Developer

I'll think about it but in general I have developed a repulsion towards mobile in recent years (indeed while my older games are still on iOS, I am not porting new ones) :P We'll see how things develop (also for future builds of Ren'py or Android publishing).

Not sure if related to your subject, but like 80~90% of the visual novels from Itchio seem to be built on Ren'py

A iconic exception would be pure pixelated games (where you move your character across a Town or Dungeon)

Still, there are so few Visual Novels centered around the concept of stats, choices and sometimes consequences, I love all these together, especially with a pitch of "bad endings" (resulted of bad choices)

For example, Roommates is based on college season, so is it possible to be kicked out of it if you fail your grades/don't study? Is it possible to seriously end up on bad terms with someone? Etc... Et caetera :)
