I've restarted the program a few times and cleared data. I also tried using my actual webcam vs VSeeFace's virtual camera and I'm not getting much luck for either. I also tried running as admin aswell. Not sure if I'm missing something in the setup, but this app is really cute so far! Just a shame I can't get the tracking working currently.
Hey, try running a search in the vtuber kit folder for "facetracker.exe" and run that after starting. You may be getting issues with your antivirus when unzipping. I'd suggest whitelisting the zip file or unzipping on another computer and then copying the files over, or perhaps trying a different unzip program. That's all i can really think of
Okay I whitelisted the files with my antivirus, still no luck. However, I did notice when I pop open the facetracker exe no matter what camera I choose within the program it still goes with the wrong one? Also just double checking because I know the program is still being worked on I just want to make sure are all these supposed to be in the camera list? But yeah I will try a different zip program and see if that helps!

For the camera list, I'm using Unity's built in function to get all attached webcam devices, so that is most likely something on your computer's end. Or maybe it's just glitching out because broke in the unzip process somehow. Hard to say, I've never really seen anything like that before. Once it starts saying got frame, that should mean it's working. Hopefully an alternate unzip can help solve your problem, please let me know how it goes.
Tried unzipping via different application (Winrar originally, now tried 7Zip) , same outcome with the huge list in the camera section, facetracker.exe showing the wrong camera no matter which one I choose, the only way I was able to get the facetracking working was to delete/disable all the other devices via windows. I also tried looking into defaulting the specific camera on windows itself but I'm not having much luck with that either. I also tried changing the directory of where it was installed to, still nothing. The choosing mic option works just fine for me, everything else works fine but the camera list is the only thing that I'm having problems with. Even though I found a slight solution I still find it abit strange that I am not able to actively choose the correct camera.
Yeah, it's very strange and I'm honestly not sure what you'd need to do to fix it. As far as I know, this is the only instance where this error has happened. Only solution I can find online is trying a different usb port for your webcam. If you haven't already, try resetting all data in the gear menu all the way at the bottom.
Just wanted to say I'm having the same issue. It's launching the wrong camera with facetracker.exe even though I have the correct one selected in devices.
Edit: I disabled the camera that it was defaulting to and now facetracker.exe is showing the correct camera, but it's still not working. My webcam just isn't turning on from the app. It works in VTubeStudio and every other app fine.
I too am having this issue. It just shows a ton of "INFO DSH facetracker.exe" or various things about INFO DSH as a massive list before listing my actual webcam options at the bottom. None of them do anything however. Running the facetracker.exe doesn't work either, and my antivirus isn't flagging anything. Running as admin doesn't help, moving it to a different place/drive doesn't either. Hope you can figure it out soon since honestly I really wanna give this a run streaming.
But still, i'd just like to say I really love the look and style of this program. It's very well done! Please keep up the good work.
Hey! I still don't have a solution to this. The facetracking uses OpenSeeFace as a back end and then grabs webcams using built-in Unity functions. I've tried to reorder my code execution and added refresh buttons and such in the past. Most people have this issue clear up on its own with no real reason why. But you can try resetting your PC, try plugging your webcam into a different USB port, or try unplugging other random USB devices and then running vtuber kit. Someone said that fixed it for them once. I'm releasing a new version tomorrow which may help fix any issues, but I kinda doubt it since none of the facetracking code has changed. Sorry I don't have a good answer on this
