Can't find Emerald Leaf and Linux issue

I don't have an emerald leaf, and as far as I know there's no instructions for finding them.

Also, for the linux version I have to run it by sticking it in the terminal and dealing with the terminal spamming "

There's Emerald Leaf in the depths of the Northern Mines, a lot in the Eastern Forest, and also a bit hidden in the caves of the Northern Forest Caves.

Sorry, I can't tell from this what's going on in the Linux build.
