I'm currently working on a sequel to The Lost Art of Innkeeping - it's still in the very early stages, but it's going to feature Elinor once again managing an inn, but in a different location and with a different storyline.

I'm developing the list of guests who'll stay at the new inn, so if you have any favorite guests from The Lost Art of Innkeeping that you would like to see in the sequel again, please let me know in this thread.

I can't guarantee that everyone's suggestions will show up, especially since part of the fun is seeing new and different people in the game. I do have plans for a few guests to reappear and have sketched out new personalities too, but feel free to share your ideas about the guests!

Do note that because this is a work in progress, it's very possible that things may change or I may end up working on something else entirely, so please don't get your hopes up! :)

I hope to see the royal family, the mermaid,  and Johan the merchant again

I really enjoyed your game btw, looking forward to the sequel

any of the characters who help expand on the lore of the series! like the other hotel employees, idaho the archaeologist, or the railroad couple.  maybe you could expand on some of the other characters too, like the fairies, the opera singers, robin and sparrow,. would also love an update on lance and gwen :)

recently replayed and was reminded how charming and fun it was! excited to hear there's a sequel!

For me, I think I'd like to see the fairies again. Some other characters returning would be wonderful too of course, like Robin and Sparrow for example, but I cannot help but feel you could expand on the fairies' characters. Looking forward to it!

Thanks for the feedback! - it's useful to know that the fairies are popular!

Definitely Lance & Gwen and Robin & Sparrow for me! I would also love Wodehouse the butler to make a reappearance if possible.

Very excited to hear you’ll be making a sequel! :D

Thanks for your feedback! Looks like Robin and Sparrow are pretty popular! :)

I had a soft spot for Lance and Gwen, and kept booking them to see if anything else would happen with them.  Maybe in the sequel they can come back and get married (destination wedding at the inn?) / already be married and have a kid, etc.  I really liked that our choice to book them together had an effect (I think) and maybe there can be more romances/ friendships that develop as a result of our choices of whom to book at the same time.

I also thought the detective characters were a neat way of providing hints in the game if needed.   Perhaps add the option to pay for them to elaborate more on that specific answer once they've given the cryptic hint, just in case.

Also enjoyed seeing Wodehouse's cat around.  Wish there had been interactions for it.  While we're at it, with so many pets, the main character needs a pet, too, please!

Thanks for the feedback, lots of good ideas here!

I’m enjoying this game and like others, would love to see Gwen & Lance (I second an inn wedding), Robin & Sparrow, Johan, Idaho, and the royal couple. I also liked the plumber’s family and Neko. I think Elinor should adopt Remus and take him with her.

I was ambivalent about the fairies and did not like Irene or the opera singers. I haven’t played new game + yet.
