Bug with "Missing Child" quest

I finished the quest after completing "Big Bad Wolf". After delivering the antidote, my companion (the Dire Wolf) was removed from party and I cannot find him anywhere. I think a workaround is finish this one first.

Did you build a Doghouse next to your cottage for the Direwolf?

If the sign is there you can build that and add the DIre wolf to your party

I see where the problem is. The Doghouse can only be built once the Direwolf is in your party...hmmm...have to fix that.
