I've looked other similar questions asked.

but specifically in reference to this one

https://itch.io/t/608092/tail-length-changes-when-pitch-changes

I have the same issue, except that my kick is already longer than 1/4

and when trying to pitch the kick and stretch the tail, it only makes my kick shorter. I don't quite understand how that's possible.

even the original pitch/sample gets shorter. unless I push it all the way to 200%, which is of course over kill and just warbles the sound of my tail.

hopefully someones able to help me. plz lmk if this is worded terribly and ill try to explain in better detail

Maybe you are using the "resample" algorithm?

I've tried with all the algorithms. I've spent time trying to tweak the stretch time for each pitch but can never quite keep a groove. maybe its just not a good a kick but thanks for the tips

nothing? don't wanna sound like a wanker but I've just spent 30 odd quid on a plugin that won't even do what its supposed to

Sorry, I did not see your comment before, and I was very busy yesterday, so your message notification got lost.

Do you think you can make a video of your problem? I'm not sure I've heard of this happening before. Are you saying that all algorithms sound the same as if you were using Resample?

(-1)

I also don't want to sound like a wanker! Who does? I love this plugin! Maybe your tail start marker is all the way at the start, so the tail and the punch don't get separated? Is the checkbox for Separate Tail checked?

sorry but can we move away from the algorithms themselves. and yes i've separated the kick and tail(altho ill mention why I sometimes don't)

Im simply trying to say that even tho i've split the kick and bass/tail at the correct place in the kick, it still loses all it's groove, rhythm and energy.

I've tried to screen record this for you with no luck, altho I really don't think you need it to understand what i'm saying. I had tried using the stretch feature within nimble kick and also the ones native to my daw, but neither do the job.

i've only had one kick pitch fairly nicely using nimble kick but I did most of the job actually outside of nimble kick, I didn't separate the kick n tail n just decided to use nimble to pitch the whole sample and cut the kick and bass just in my daw and then glue them back together.

I'm afraid I don't really understand the problem, that's why I asked for a video. Were you having trouble doing a video recording?
