Not able to create PCK data files

I recently got RPG in a box and after following all the tutorials, I had a map character, etc. Then, I got to episode 5, and all of a sudden quick play wasn't working. When I try to quick play, I get this error: "Failed to create PCK data file. If your game is currently running, please close it and try exporting again. (Error code: 31)". I have been trying to fix this for a couple of hours now but no one on the internet has this exact problem. My game isn't running as I haven't been able to create it yet, and the pck file doesn't exist so that I can't run the chmod command. Does anyone know what to do?

Apologies for the issue! I believe I saw someone on the Discord server run into a similar problem recently and it ended up being due to their antivirus software. They were able to resolve it by adding RPG in a Box as a trusted application. Hopefully that helps!

I searched for this issue on the Discord to double check that I had the information right, and it seems you were actually the person I was referring to (based on the user name). 馃槅 Can you confirm that it's definitely working okay now?

Yeah this is fixed (I made both posts at similar times), I'm sorry for the inconvenience I should've not posted it in both locations to avoid confusion.

No worries at all, just happy to know it's fixed! :)

Umm, I have the same issue and cant figure out how to make RPG in a box a trusted site(I'm on a Macbook)

Hello?

Hello?

Hello! I've been using RPG in a box for ages Blindly. I am unable to test the games I made because of that error. I've added AVG acceptations, but it still won't stop saying the PCK file creation error

I hope I don't have to quit...

Apologies for the issue! The error indicates that the game files couldn't be created on the file system for some reason. Normally nothing special needs to be done for this process to work, but another option to try is to run the application as Administrator. Do you have issues with both the "Quick Play" and "Export Game" feature?

Thank you! I finally can play my games!

Glad to hear that! Were you able to resolve your issue by running the software as Administrator?

Yes!
