This synth looks amazing but it didn't work when I copied the file and the Terminal command sadly didn't work either, it just says the developer has not been verified

With ApricotSynthBetaMacOS_v1.0.9.zip, are you able to load the standalone .app? Please follow the installation instructions and let me know what happens.

when I download it just shows "MacOSPlugin" and then opens it in text edit but doesn't download the app, though when I downloaded the regular version and copied the command into terminal  it did find the file but I was greeted with the message of this cannot be downloaded because the developer has not been verified, I know Apple kind of sucks when it comes to stuff like this but anyways thanks for listening

Could you try the new v1.1.0 download? I believe I have fixed the issue that prevented extracting the .zip file properly on macOS Ventura.

hey, I downloaded it, unfortunately it is still not working and I still get the  "cannot be downloaded because the developer has not been verified" however I was able to get the standalone app to work so I finally got to try the synth and it sounds really nice! I was able to download the plugin version but as soon as I actually copy the file the message pops up.  I guess Apple has some kind of verification process now

Version 1.12 has the same problem in macOS Ventura 13.4.1.

Extracting the zip file is no problem. Starting 'Apricot Installer.app' is though because "the developer has not been verified" .

The instruction in the RTF file is not helpful. There is no 'Open' when I right-click on the file.

According to this article from Apple, https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/mac-help/mh40616/mac, there should be an option to grant an exception to allow the app to open in Privacy & Security settings.

I downloaded the zip file again. I was able to start the installer as instructed in the link. But I had to extract the zip file a few times before it worked. Like the unzipping was not done correctly the first few times. Anyway, it's working now. Thanks.
