It is a fantastic editor.  I love using it... I am getting used to it...  You guys really thought about it... Now (people start asking for more features, more bells, more whistles, more, more, more) would it be possible (Please notice my smiley face :D) to have citations support from biblatex, pdf export, and the capability to make vanilla ice-cream (OK, if the very last feature can not be implemented that would be alright.)

I want to donate some money to the project...Link?

PDF Export YES! I'll look into biblatex :)

You can support the app through Patreon, or make Pull Requests, or just buy it through itch :)

Stay tuned for PDF export!

Sometimes it is fine to look at other projects to see their features.  Have you by any chance compared Left with Texts.io?  Texts.io has all functions (this little monster also has a tex export feature worth seeing) I want but a few that you guys have:

1.  Preview: I just need this.

2. Not hiding markdown syntax: Texts.io adorable as it is, hides my markdown and I need to see it.

Moeditor is nice: it does tables, math, pdf, html export but no footnotes and no bibtex...

In short, I believe in Left (why that name?) and I will support it and use it.

I just had the best idea for footnotes, let me make a new build with that. I'll let you know when it's up.

Left, the name? I'm sure you can figure it out.  It's a great name when you see it.

I agree about keeping the bells and whistles limited, it's easy to bring a .txt file into something like LibreOffice when the main work is done so you can export it into a .pdf file. I would only ask for a way of seeing how many pages I have and/or a page numbering system. After all as a reader I don't find page numbers to be distracting, and I don't think they would distract me as I progress with my first large project or with any new small projects that I may start.

Such smaller projects would be started by me while following advice given to a group of us in a reader/writer's area of AOL back when dialup internet access was still a real way to go. The advice came from Ben Bova when he was a "guest speaker" there. He said that if you are going to be serious about writing you had to spend at least 4 hours a day writing, even if all that you write on any given day ends up in the trash. Using a computer I had managed to turn some bits of that stuff into short stories before being forced to set aside writing for a while. Anyway I'm finally back at it and I hope to actually create something that will be published. But then this info may be considered a bit off topic, so I likely should shut up and post this.

Hey Chraz,

It's currently not possible for Left to give an estimate of number of pages as it does not have any sense of how long a page is, if you're in Japan like us, a page size is JIS A or JIS B, in the US I think they're called A4 and A5? In the UK it's something different I think. What I would recommend if count roughly how many characters fits on your target paper size, and just calculate the number of pages via the character counter at the bottom of the interface.

Good luck with your publication, let me know if there's something I can do to help :)

Thanks for your reply, I should have known (but I didn't) when it comes to the "page size" naturally other countries naturally would nave their own sizes.  I can work with your advice and count lines in a "page" here in the states.

Thanks for the well wishes too.
