The number of CCP spies conducting espionage activities in US grounds has been increasing in a fast pace.

Thanks to FBI, these espionage schemes are slowly getting unmasked.

These spies who usually either affiliated to PLA or MSS (China counterpart of CIA), CCP ordered them to do in US, including infiltration, espionage, blackmailing activists, threatening students and etc on behalf of their totalitarian agenda.

FBI director, Christopher Wray, has estimated that the FBI opens a new investigation on Chinese-government sponsored espionage every 12 hours.

On August 3, 2023, two CCP spies, working as US Navy Servicemembers, Patrick Wei and Thomas Zhao, have been arrested for spying for China.

Patrick Wei, a machinist in an US Navy aircraft carrier, has sent 56 technical and mechanical manuals of his ship’s weapons, propulsion and desalination systems to MSS Intelligence Officer (China counterpart of CIA), along with information regarding the numbers and training of US Marines during exercise. Patrick Wei and the MSS Intelligence Officer were communicating by using encrypted methods of communication, and they delete the records of their conversation after each conversation.

Thomas Zhao, a sailor worked in several US naval bases, had taken videos and photos of specific locations of naval forces, logistics supports, maritime operations and amphibious landings during an exercise, for MSS. He also photographed diagrams and blueprints of a radar system in a military base, Okinawa, then send them to MSS Intelligence Officer. The intelligence officer allegedly directed Zhao to conceal their relationship and to destroy evidence of CCP espionage.

Once convicted, both of them face 20 years in jail.

So, apparently, the spy, Patrick Wei was revealed that his mom is encouraging him to spy for CCP, so that he can get a job when he returns to China

Prosecutor Fred Sheppard told the court that when Mr Wei went home for Christmas to see his mother, who lives in Wisconsin, she encouraged him to keep helping the intelligence officer because it might get him a job someday with China's Communist Parry.

 Thomas Zhao, CCP spy in US navy, has pleaded guilty in US, and will be sentenced to 20 years in jail.

This is a rightful punishment to a CCP spy who betrayed everyone, including his race to conduct espionage activities on behalf of fascist CCP.

Between August 2021 and at least May 2023, Zhao admitted receiving at least $14,866 in at least 14 separate bribes from the intelligence officer. 

Summary of Thomas Zhao's espionage activities in US Navy,

1. From January 2016 to August 2016, he was a self-employed travel agent in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County.
2. In April 2017, he joined the U.S. Navy.
3. In May 2020, he entered American Military University in Killeen, Texas, USA to pursue a bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity.
4. On August 12, 2021, a conspirator instructed him to gather information about a large-scale military exercise in the Indo-Pacific region. On August 13, 2021, while on San Clemente Island in Los Angeles County, he took a photo of a diagram called Large Scale Exercise 2021 Pacific NFC CONOPS, which was marked controlled unclassified information (CUI). On August 14, 2021, he sent the photo to a Chinese intelligence officer. On August 16, 2021, he took 12 photos of computer screens that displayed operation orders of U.S. military training exercises.
5. The Chinese intelligence officer sent him ¥7,406.8 ($1,157.76) on November 1, 2021 and ¥5,000 ($781.56) on November 6, 2021. On November 17, 2021, while on Port Hueneme, he took five photos of diagrams and blueprints outlining the electrical system in the Ground/Air Task Oriented Radar (GATOR) storage that housed the GATOR systems located at a U.S. military base in Okinawa, Japan. Each document was marked unclassified and for official use only.
6. On January 14, 2022, he received ¥24,685 ($3,885.69) from the Chinese intelligence officer.
7. On June 28, 2022, he received ¥3,500 ($522.01) from the Chinese intelligence officer.
8. On August 29, 2022, he received ¥3,500 ($522.01) from the Chinese intelligence officer.
9. The Chinese intelligence officer sent him ¥14,000 ($2,011.81) on September 7, 2022 and ¥3,500 ($522.01) on September 29, 2022.
10. On October 17, 2022, he sent to the Chinese intelligence officer 16 files that contained sensitive operations security (OPSEC) information from the U.S. Navy that were marked controlled unclassified information (CUI). The officer sent him ¥4,00 ($551.72) on October 27, 2022, ¥10,000 ($1,393.65) on November 25, 2022, ¥4,000 ($627.23) on November 26, 2022 and ¥4,500 ($663.08) on January 10, 2023.
11. In February 2023, he became a training instructor at the U.S. Naval Construction Group 1 in Port Hueneme. The Chinese intelligence officer sent him ¥8,500 ($1,261.33) on February 2, 2023, ¥3,500 ($502.84) on February 27, 2023 and ¥3,500 ($508.66) on March 28, 2023.
12. On August 2, 2023, Federal Bureau of Investigation special agents arrested him.
13. He was 26 years old when he was arraigned on August 3, 2023 in Los Angeles. He pleaded not guilty to conspiracy and receipt of a bribe by a public official. 
14. Zhao pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge R. Gary Klausner. Sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 8, 2024. Zhao faces a statutory maximum penalty of 20 years in prison – five years for the conspiracy count and 15 years for the bribery charge.

Such is life for being a CCP spy.

More of them will meet the same fate.

There are signs of CCP taking advantage of the border crisis in the Southern Border, and mix in their government spy agents among the illegal migrant crowd.

According  to CBP, U.S Customs and Border Protection, the encounters with Chinese nationals in the Southern border has risen from 28,000 (2022) to 45,500 (2023).

The number of detentions of Chinese nationals have surged this year (2023) too.

Of course, not all migrants are spies, and most of them arrived to US due to economic hardships from their respective countries.

But right now in China's highly repressive environment, its no surprise if CCP decided to put government spy agents into the mix, so that they not only monitor the migrants that have left China, they also conduct hostile spy operations in US. 

CCP spies are very infamous for stalking and threatening Chinese migrants who had left China in US.

Also, recently, there are multiple fights broke out between CCP loyalist and anti-CCP protesters during APEC event in SF. The CCP supporters are known to be very aggressive against dissenters.

So with CCP exploiting the Southern Border, more fascist agents with government military/police backgrounds will mix in with the migrant crowd, and continue to carry out transnational repression. Worsening the living conditions of migrants in US as the result.
