How do I setup preorders?

Hello! I'm about to release my game this August, and even though I ticked the box that says "this file is a pre-order placeholder" it still doesn't let people pre-order the game. Are games pre-orderable on itch.io? Please let me know in advance and I'll get back to you as soon as I can! Thanks!

Edit (6/5/23) - Apparently I have to get rid of the release date info in the metadata section. Kinda overthink it a little! :D

you have to set the medata so that there is no realse date in order for it to count as a preorder i think

hey thanks for the reply! I fixed it about a couple months ago, and all I had to do is remove the release date from the metadata and I got the pre-orders to work.
