I have made a rag platformer in around 2 weeks called THE OVERLORD

it's a platformer where you don't control the player but can only place blocks for the player to jump off theirs also a speed run mode so you can see how quickly you can beat the game and a great feature is if you die 30 times on a map it lets you skip the map to the next one and it's also free I would like feedback for if the game is fun but hard or too hard and not fun  https://thetwocs.itch.io/the-overlord

This game is so pleasantly frustrating!

The concept is really cool and the delivery works out. It is really hard to make progress, and I would recommend toning down the difficulty until the higher levels, but then it wouldn't be a rage platformer. I don't know how to develop the skill to beat this game, but it seems to be pretty solid overall. I love how chill the music is despite all the keyboard smashing that would be involved lol

One thing to watch out for is how the robot jumps off of certain block placements. Sometimes it just kind of sits there for a while when in a corner, or it'll get stuck up in a wall until another block is placed. Also how do the buttons work, I tried to mouse click but it only placed a block there?

Feel free to check my game out, I could use your feedback: https://wasabiiii.itch.io/grass-elemental-demo-demo

Cool game, keep it up!

Thanks for your feedback I'm trying to figure out why the robot gets stuck

and I'm not sure what you mean with "How do the buttons work?"

"I tried to mouse click but it only placed a block there". The whole game is placing blocks to make the robot jump off or walk on to get to the end and to do that you have to mouse-click and right-click to delete blocks.

I'm also going to try to make the level at the start a little less hard but not too much because then it won't be a rage platformer

but thank you for your feedback I'm going to try and fix most of your concerns

Oh I mean the small buttons on the wall, with the instructions over it that say "mouse click to press button" or something. I think it's like on like the fourth level

okay that makes more sense but to answer your question this is how to use the button you have to put the mouse over the button, not the big block and then press the left click and it will open the door and the a block will place but if button was click the dorr should still open i will make it when you press the button you don't place a block but thanks for all of the feedback
