Is this just a scam?

The fact that the release date keeps being pushed back gets more and more suspicious. Like why give expectations over and over again just to disappoint everyone over and over again. Push you release date back as far as needed for you to fix all the fucking issues, and release. I feel like I wasted my money and am getting no return. Oh I got a calendar? Great where's the game I've been waiting for and keep being promised with my purchase?

I feel your pain buddy, as a pre-orderer too, I just want to clarify a bit. They initially (or be forced to) released the beta version few days ago but later reverted to a closed beta due to numerous bugs. They are now gathering feedback to improve the game. This is a common process in game development; the only issue is that they often terribly mispredict the release date.  : )) Given that this type of game is quite uncommon, I genuinely hope they can complete it soon.

Dear TalNiri,

I apologize for any inconvenience. This is my first time managing a project of this scale (particularly for me and my indie team), and I'm somewhat lacking in experience on how to handle the bug-fixing schedule. We've transitioned back to closed beta to address these issues. If you're interested in trying it out and assisting us in improving the game by reporting bugs and suggesting features or ideas, please feel free to drop an email to the team at info@gayeti.com to get the beta version.

I appreciate your understanding. Lessons have been learned, and I believe the delivery process for the final game will be much smoother next time. T.T
