How to get a Steam Key from your itch.io purchase

Step 1 - Find or re-request the Download page from your original Itch purchase email

If you haven't done so, find your original email with the purchase link.

Can't find your email?? Go to this page: https://itch.io/docs/buying/already-bought and you can request a FRESH DOWNLOAD EMAIL be sent to you!

The page should look something like:

Step 2 - Click "Get Steam Key", follow the instructions to get your key

Click the "Get Steam Key" button shown above. Follow the instructions to link your Steam account, verify your email if necessary and then copy the key to your clipboard. When in doubt, click Get Steam Key again and follow the instructions on screen.

You will use that key to put the game in your Steam library, so copy it to your clipboard.

Step 3 - Add your key to Steam 

Follow the steps on-screen. Once you get to this screen, paste in the Steam Key you got from step 2.

Once the key is activated, the game will show up in your library and start downloading.

Step 4 - Install and Play on Steam!

You can now download, install and play the game from your Steam library!

Troubleshooting: I didn't create an itch.io account when I bought the game!

Troubleshooting: When I open the link to get my Steam key itch displays a 404 error.

This will happen if you open the link in a browser that is not logged in to your itch account. Ensure you're logged in to itch and try again.

Hi, sorry for the late reply—I just reinstalled my Windows OS because it was having some issues. :(((

The Steam version is the latest, up-to-date version. If you'd like to play it right now, you can redeem the Steam key I sent you via email.

As for the itch/Gumroad version, we haven't updated it to the latest yet, so the download you got from Gumroad is an older version.

If you'd prefer to play the itch/Gumroad version, I hope you can wait about a week or more. After we release Lancelot 2, we'll return to updating the itch/Gumroad versions, since some supporters can't access Steam to redeem the game.

Glad to hear that! I do remember some of our users mentioning that they were able to play our game on their Mac using a Windows simulation.

However, as far as I recall, none of them have explained the process in detail yet.

Are you a Mac user too?

I’ve received a lot of inquiries about the Mac version, and I’m surprised to hear that some Mac users have managed to play the game using Windows simulation. 

While I wouldn’t exactly recommend it, as it requires a strong system setup and can cause lag, some players have reported good experiences with it! :D

Since we don’t have a Mac device on hand at the moment, once we start developing the Mac version, we’ll need help from Mac users :D

But yes, the Mac version is definitely in the works!

I found this through a previous comment; hope it helps: "There will be an area with lots of vases. In this area, there are 10 grey-colored mushrooms hidden throughout the vases (one is up on a ledge)."
