Can't run on M2 mac

I downloaded "unrar" in order to be able to unpack the game, and unpacked it like so:
"unrar x chloe-mac64.rar"
This created two folders ("mac64" and "chloe-mac64"), each containing a game calle "Chloe" (but with different icons).

When I tried to run either, I get an error message saying "The application 'Chloe' can't be opened." with no other detail.

Going to the security preferences to allow the app to run didn't do anything (it's not even there)

For what it's worth, this is on an M2 Macbook Air running MacOS 12.7.2

What can I do to run the game?

Hi JP! sorry for the problem you are facing, can you try the version on the app store? it's the latest one with all the character updates, it should run fine on M2 MacBook air, I already own one and it's doing well, please contact me at rougihm@gmail.com, so I can give you access code to the app store version if you have already purchased it through itch.io

Thank you Rojeh, that's very kind to offer. I have been able to run the game on my Windows machine instead so I won't need to tinker to get it working. Consider this more of an FYI than a request for help then.
