I started to develop a new game. It will be a mix of Aurora 4x, StarCraft and the Star Trek universe.

Since I love games like Aurora 4x or StarCraft, I wanted to develop my own, which is based on the two games, but contains both game elements in the function. So the realism and the game depth is a bit more pronounced.

Especially for newbies in this 4x area it will be easier to understand what actions and technologies are important. Due to the complexity, the game also builds on text-based tables and basically omits animations and graphics.

Unlike Aurora 4x, the game is not based on an MS Access database, but uses its own format which is much faster and uses less memory.


The framework of the game consists of several small databases based on text files. In these the data sets for industry, the empire, the resources, the researches, etc. are stored. The access takes place out of the game and, in contrast to an Access database connection, is much faster. Links and relationships are created and edited in-game. At the present time, you can assign a governor to your kingdom, build buildings and factories, and watch the depletion of resources.


Through the discovery of new minerals (the same minerals as in the Star Trek universe) and the discovery and transformation of a new gas (Vespin from Starcraft), it has become possible to develop new technologies such as buildings, armor, weapons and spaceships.

Refining mines and refineries are needed to promote the new elements. These facilities increase the supply of minerals on earth depending on their number.

Humanity has joined forces to form a large federation, exploring space, discovering new resources and exploring new planets. The new minerals and the exploration of string tunneling have made interstellar travel possible.

How to start in the game is up to you. At the beginning you have a Command Center which has to be filled with a governor. Gradually, the mines can be built to have more resources available. Then you build universities or military academies to get new scientists and soldiers. These in turn occupy laboratories for research or form an army to command later ships can.
