Great controls, but one minor hangup on DAS

When trying to place a piece one space away from a wall -- experienced tetr.io players will use finesse techniques like "hold left, tap right" to play quickly using DAS (Delayed Auto Shift)

In this game, left and right DAS appear to interfere with each other, so "hold left, tap right" will move the piece several spaces away from the wall as DAS remains active, even when moving in the opposite direction

It is a minor hangup but makes the later levels more frustrating, when you're trying to play quickly!

Hi, thanks for trying out the game.

Have you tried toggling DAS Cancelling on in the Options to see if that improves the handling for you?

Thank you, that fixes the problem! Out of curiosity, what is the argument for this setting being disabled by default? Is there a benefit where holding left and having right DAS activate is beneficial?

I also frequently have this scenario come up in "dig mode" where my piece is obstructed by an invisible wall. If i drop my piece here, there will still be a gap, even though I cannot see any pieces. Is there a fix for this as well?

No Problem! I think DAS Cancelling being off by default was just an oversight. Initially, the game didn’t have it and I added it in when someone else requested it a while back. I used tetr.io and jstris as a guide to implement it, but didn’t notice that in both games the feature is on by default. I’ll switch it to on by default in the next update.

As for the Dig mode bug, someone else did report it before: https://github.com/mstop4/bomino/issues/4. I haven’t be able to reproduce the bug consistently yet, but since you also encountered it in Dig mode, I know where to focus my efforts in fixing it. Thanks for the bug report!

Thanks, that's really thoughtful to toggle that setting! I think other players will appreciate it. Good luck tracking down that bug!
