Can the difficulty be tuned back a bit?

Heya as per what the title says I was hoping that for later releases the overall difficulty can be tuned back, as it seems that not only me but a couple others are struggling with the game primarily the Slime Diva.
Not only that but i was also kinda struggling before that cause I unknowingly gave myself an unoptimized build (I thought bows would scale damage based off dexterity/agility) so I was also having a bit of a hard time with the first major quest as well. (those two small ghoul enemies in the second room sent me packing back to spawn more than i'd like to admit, and don't get me started on killing all those blue slimes) 
And then going off that I'd just have to grind a bunch to get to a level where I could actually stand a chance which wasn't that particularly fun.

Now don't get me wrong I love the aesthetic of it and would love to see it go great in the future I just think there's a pretty high difficulty spike at the start that seems to be alotta of everyone's main issues with the game right now.
