Two things.

First. Is anyone else annoyed that we don't even get to SEE Killigan's mom?

Secondly, and maybe I'm reading too much into this but it seems like Head wizard Komoli and Killigan's mom were MORE than colleagues. I mean she give Killigan 1000 coins seemingly just because she worked with his mom.

It likly the reader will never see Kiliigans mom for a long time. Potential Spoilers.

I assume that Killigan is half Bovilian and half Demon.

1) Basicly his Father is his real biological dad and his mom is either a demon or infertile bolivian and used a demon instead.

2) Alternetivly Killiggan real father is a demon and his mom only uses Killigan "Father" as a model to create her child.

Extension of spoiler warnings, just in case.

Remember that Ma was capable of using magic, and you need scrilzi scales or… something daemonic for it. Maybe blood, maybe soul. So she may be daemon, or she could've experimented with daemonics to learn magic.
