Sorry guys as an artist I joined a little too late for May wolf, but in the good spirit of the event I decided to join as a developer instead.
However, doing a visual novel is no small feat, it's quite intensive and it´ll probably age me up if decide to tackle everything alone.
Therefor I'm looking for a programmer. since doing renpy is the one thing I'm less comfortable with. This project is not going to be anything taxing I promise, in the span of May we will only have time to do a linear story.
Now doing a visual novel quickly becomes from fun work to a logistical nightmare if people don´t know what they are getting into. To alleviate this issue, I ran to my desk and sort of brainstormed a quick idea of a story and came up with 3 concept rough sketches.
For transparency purposes, here is a sample on what the scenes would probably look like.
As you can see, I picked the wolf in the wolf named event. I know it´s not original, but I believe everything can make a good story if its written well.
So, for the sprites and artwork, it will be centered on him since he is the only character barring the Pov/mc character (These usually don't matter (I think...))
This information is what I'm going to use down the line to make the sprites, His design for practical purposes its quite simple, while also looking quite fancy.... don´t mind me, I do simp a lot for wolves dressed like this...
Last but not least, the setting in which the story will take place.
A huge tower in center of a forest, this will keep the background to the minimum for the sake of my sanity, and also because I haven't seen this type of setting before in a furry visual novel (feel free to correct me, I'm quite uncultured)
with this I conclude my idea, if you are programmer who wants to join me during the event, I'm going to be hanging out in the discord server till the event begins.
