how do i create an index.html file?

Hello! Sorry to bug but I'm a highly new dev, and I recently uploaded my first project. My folder inside only has image folders and a link to the page you'd go to to use the function, but the uploader here tells me I need an index.html file, and I'm just simply unsure of what to do about it. I tried looking for a bit for any past post but I only saw a few related to game engines and I did this off of Dreamweaver.

Can I get some help please? Thank you!

What project is this? What do you mean by "a link to the page you'd go to to use the function"? What function?

Its a project i wanted to put on here, its on my page. I coded it off dreamweaver and it takes you to a webpage.  Maybe i misspoke by saying "function" specifically, sorry.

Is your project an executeable or is it a webgame (html5) or is it just a bunch of data files?

If you marked it as a webgame, despite being just a zipped folder and "a link" to your own website, you should change the attributes of your project to reflect that. (change type to download instead of html)

It sounds like you marked it as a web project, so you have to upload a zip file with the necessary items in it and a top file named "index.html" that will start your web game project. This would run on site without downloading.

See those twine games for examples. https://itch.io/games/tag-twine

Oh that makes sense! Thank you!
