I think the new base is far more building of the setting and realistic though, and there is more to it and makes it more uneasy and unsafe feeling, it was too much of a haven before, too easy to accidentally waste numerous days just doing your job and min-maxing like crazy, it was practically unimmersive it pulled you into just grinding out signals so hard
