Mod tool crashing on OSX

hi all i downloaded the mod tool today whenever i try to open it it unexpectedly stops at first i used the hack where you copy the contents folder to your desktop then make a new folder then rename it to have a .app extension cause i don't have an admin account but then i downloaded a new copy because it crashed but it still crashed even after i got admin approval

my specs are MacOSX Mojave 10.14.2 i am on a macbook air 2017 thanks

p.s the regular hardware tycoon is crashing too

EDIT: igonre that edit the mod tool still crashes on mac osx but the game itself doesnt

There seems to be a problem with the mac release, some people can't get the game to run at all. It's caused by Construct 2/nw.js and I can't seem to be able to fix it.
Did Hardware Tycoon crash before? What did you do to get it working?

to get the game itself working you have to download the itch io app to mac then click hardware tycoon NOT Hardware Tycoon OSX.zip just click Hardware Tycoon in the options for witch one to launch but the mod tool will not load at all it doesnt even load for a second it imediatley crahes

p.s i can be a mac tester if you'd like i know its hard to develop games for pltforms you cant access

Maybe I'll eventually get to stripping the game from content just to see if you can run it. Do you have Discord?

Hey haxor, I have made an attempt to help so i crawled it for errors by decompiling then recompiling it

this is what the terminal app spits out when recompiling it. So it would appear the NWJS framework isnt bundled correctly.

hope this helps you fix the mac version.
