Can you consider making a mobile app on Android since lots of the dev here also make mobile game? I love getting indie game from here but using Google is kinda too much of a hassle and recently I always experience download failed "forbidden" even with vpn thanks.

Try Mitch, an unofficial app. You can also simply use the website directly. The itch.io dev team would rather focus on improving the website.

I still get a failed download even using mitch it's weird since itch io isn't banned in my country any other suggestions?

...Try getting it from F-Droid?

I've downloaded Mitch from f droid but when I want to download any apps on Mitch the download also fail. Please can someone fix this? I don't want to get games from a pirating site because I want to support the dev of my favorite dev.

...You might want to ask the creator of Mitch?

idk it seems like itch io server got some kind of problem maybe? I see lots of people got same problem too

Check your security settings and your storage. Your phone could be blocking downloads from "unknown" sources - and might only consider Google Play a known source.  Your phone could also have run out of space / memory.

You could also try switching your phone to developer mode which gives you more options to control it.

no, my phone already allowed download from unknown sources and I have plenty of storage. It can't be that since I'm able to download anything from other websites

if anyone read this and have the same problem I'm able to fix this by turning on many options on chrome://flags but I can't remember which one but it should be at least the parallel downloading. *Note it's an experimental features so use it on your own risk.
