Couple of questions: characters sheet / fatigue / special attacks

Hi there, I recently ran the adventure in the book  for 1 player and we really enjoyed it. Love the Dark Tower series and spaghetti westerns and this nails the vibe perfectly and the artwork is so good. I also really like HRT as opposed to WILL compared to Into the Odd and Cairn, and the Duel rules which are great fun and very tense! Currently planning a co-op sandbox playthrough using the solo rules alongside Mythic GME 2e and some custom Ironsworn type oracles.

I have a couple of questions:

1) On the example character / character sheet it says the character has 9 inventory slots filled, but if I'm reading the rules correctly she should actually have 7 as the bandolier weighs nothing and also removes lead weight?

2) It says fatigue can be gained due to monster abilities but looking through the beastiary I can't see any creatures which add fatigue as a mechanic?

3) Do you expect players to start with Special Attacks? Or is this something you expect players to earn in the fiction?

4) Also the bookmarks don't seem to be set up correctly in the PDF? I'm using rulebook v1.3 I think. It would be great if these could be corrected in the PDF.

Thanks! :)

Hello and thanks for the kind words!

  1. This is a mistake on the example character sheet and I’ll be fixing it in an update.

  2. This is to keep the option open for the future and to allow wardens to create new creatures with attacks that cause fatigue.

  3. They’re meant to be used right away but this can depend on the warden. If you’ve got a fresh group of prentices who’ve just become gunslingers, they might have to learn the skills from a different gunslinger.

  4. Yup, these will be fixed.

Thanks and all the best.
