Hard to believe this is not a scam given that there has been no update whatsoever for months! Even the lo specs version of the main game is yet to be delivered.
Until the devs show some responsibility, I am going to keep this post here. People shouldn’t waste their money on irresponsible devs when there are far better and more hardworking devs who could use that funding.
Hi Ard, I'm uploading a new update for the main game, this update is needed for the expansion too cos it is a big update about game balancing (the expansion pack will be the next part of the story after Kay is defeated), as you know about prob that many players point out that if we get max level before getting the final sword,, cos the ATK point is maxed the final sword have no effect etc., this big update will change that (also we'll have new piano room where player can play music), and all battles are now more challenging, I don't have time to post update cos I'm working my arses out here for the expansion and lo-spec version, Ima post an update today to show our hard work, also, with the extended goals and fund from Kickstarter, the expansion pack is now bigger than the original game so it's gonna be [[[Lancelot 2]]], not an expansion anymore and all the guy who have purchased and support the Expansion now have a whole new game instead of an expansion. By posting this kind of post you're just slowing us down and making the wait time longer since we still need the fuel from payments to keep on working, just so you know.
honestly, you’ve talked enough- and it’s always the same thing. All of your loyal fans, including me, are just severely disappointed by your poor track record and I have observed you for the last six months and nothing has changed! Now we want to see less talk and more deliverables. These are the things you should deliver first before you get to say anything else:
1. The lo specs version of the main game- it was “almost ready” more than five months ago! What happened to that??
2. The expansion pack- late by many months now. If you can’t even deliver the basic build, what is the point of adding more features and stretch goals?? Your team clearly lacks the capacity to deliver the basic plan so there’s no point fooling us with ‘additional features’ that will just take you, at this rate, another 6 months to fulfil!!
In any case, I will give you till the end of August to deliver on these- let’s see if you can do that. If you can’t, then I would assume I was right in calling your entire operation a scam to make quick money and disappoint your fans.
I really want you guys to succeed, but enough is enough! I can’t keep supporting you unless you start supporting yourselves- so start doing that NOW!
I agree with Kolba_Yada. While it is certainly not a good thing that the expansion pack hasn't been delivered, the developers haven't just ghosted you and left with the money. They responded to your post only to be met with more aggression, and you even edited the original post. It's not a good thing that the update is being delayed, but they provided adequate reasoning for that delay (a whole new game). Obviously, the communication from the developers could use some work, since this wasn't a known fact beforehand, and their tone was a bit aggressive as well. However, as a new team making games, I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. In fact, if we get another game for the price of $4.99, would that not be worth the wait?
I appreciate what the both of you are trying to say, @Kolba_Yoda and @LunasaMoon. I would ordinarily show the same kindness and generosity towards game devs and give them the benefit of the doubt- after all, no one is doing this full time and everyone faces challenges and delays. However, this particular dev has an absolutely awful track record when it comes to delivering anything at all- you may be relatively new supporters of this dev but I’ve backed many of their games- preordered their games and been extraordinarily patient with them. But they simply haven’t learnt- they have taken their fan base for granted and that is extremely uncool- I support many devs and there are far more hardworking and honest devs out there who don’t treat their fans and supporters like crap.
As for the devs offering a ‘whole new game’ with expansions- that’s quite simply a poor lie! Developers who can’t even deliver the base game shouldn’t promise more before until they have managed to even release the originally planned game! That’s been a strategy for these guys- they fail to meet deadlines repeatedly and then post an update promising more content which, let’s face it, is just going to take them longer. What’s the logic behind this? As in any other profession, you should let your work do the talking and sadly there’s barely any work that these guys release. Do you know that the original game itself was delayed by almost a year- deadlines missed at least 6-8 times?!
I understand why you might think this is harsh, but I stand by every word of what I’ve said- their behaviour is scammy af. I’ll wait till the end of this month to see if they deliver anything at all, and then take my post down and happily apologise if I am proven wrong. Till then, this is completely in the devs’ hands- let’s see what they deliver!
