I am fairly new to the game, but I found that whenever I have myself captured or sometimes when enemies captured me, after they locked me in the cell, my original outfit were gone, and a random new set of clothes were on automatically. Is this intended? Is there a way I could retrieve my original clothes?

You have Outfit tab in your inventory, where you should be able to change clothes
