gorepunk (strange eco-punk RPG): Feedback Would Be Amazing!

Hey all,

For a game I've been working on for a while I'd love to hear what you think. The prototype on itch doesn't really have an ending yet, but would love to hear some first impressions.

I'm mainly looking for a vibe-check:

How does the writing feel?
Does it fit the presented world?
What do you think of the readability of the UI?
Do the graphics work with the atmosphere?
What do you think of the music?

Play the prototype:

Thanks for taking the time to read/watch/play <3  Any advice/insights are VERY welcome :)).

I don't like to wallow, so this is not my type of game, but I think the GUI is very well done. I do not think it suits the content.

For this type of game I think a punk vibe would be gothic rather than the street art of Dirt. But that wouldn't make me like it any more. It just would be more suited to a kind of game I don't like. ;)

Thanks for having a look in any case, CMW-Games!

Hey hey, gave you some feedback on the game page. My game is over here if you'd like to give your own feedback: https://wasabiiii.itch.io/grass-elemental-demo-demo; Your input is much appreciated!

Now to touch on these topics:

- The writing feels very descriptive and well done, and fittingly so to the situations presented

-  The UI is highly stylized, but not too stylized to where it's completely unreadable. I think it's pretty well done

- The graphics appear to be mixing in styles and resolutions, so they feel a bit disjointed at times. But overall they look pretty cool

- The music is really good! I'm a bit of a guitarist myself (glances at pfp), so the flamenco style was delightful to hear. Did you make it yourself? It doesn't fit the style of the game very well, but great choice either way

Very cool game, keep it up!

Hey Wasabi,

Thanks for the feedback! Glad you like the writing, it is what needs to carry most of the game so it is very important people like that part :D

The graphics are WIP, and the various resolutions and styles is something I'll work on for the final project. Will have to find a decent 3D artist when the time (and money) comes that can use this as basic inspiration and work some of their magic!

I didn't make it myself, it is placeholder from a creative commons track I found. I wanted to be a bit more experimental also with the music choice, and the flamenco/spanish guitar is a unique angle that I just really love. I want to try to MAKE it fit with the tone haha.

I'll check out your game on the weekend, it looks really interesting tbh.
