While I'm not working on Inverted, I will do another simple game while this, Demolite. This is a game made in PuzzleScript, but you doesn't move like in top-down, your character can be affected by the gravity, so they can fall. This game have been heavily inspired by Lode Runner that it could be considered a PuzzleScript demake of it. In Demolite, you controls a... Drill? And the world gone into a financial crisis so this very weird-looking hero goes to steal the money from the hogrians.
In this game, there are a variety of materials and designs of objects. Each materal and object work different. Wood can be drilled. Metal cannot be drilled. Sand will crumble apart once you stands on it. Ruby destroys you character. Ice makes you to slip, making you to uncontrollaby slide. Gel will bounce you off if you are near it. There are many designs of objects that have different variants that use these materials, for example, blocks can be walked on, usually. Ladders can be climbed. Ropes cannot be landed on, you can only pass through them when falling. And cages can be pushed.
The direction where you drills depends on where your character is facing, if it is on the middle, how it gets after falling or using ladders, it can drill down. But if it moves to left and right, it can drill them to left or right depending to where it is facing, needing you to fall down to get in the middle to be able to drill objects that are down to reach places.
But objects aren't all that are in your way. Hogrians know that you are here and so they will try to kill you. Ruby Totews can walk to back and forth, fall, use ladders, and can destroy ruby blocks. Hardbeetles will be harmless at first, but their deadly ruby spikes will appear all round them after some seconds, avoid them as well, except when they aren't with their spikes. And Tired Groggos will shoot ruby projectiles from their mouths.
